** 2026 Community Donations Announcement ** We’ve ** 2026 Community Donations Announcement **

We’ve now had a chance to finalise everything from our fantastic 2026 Malmsbury Village Fayre. The Volunteer Committee reached out to various local community organisations to discover what their needs were.

As a result of their requests, and via agreement at our recent AGM, we’ll be making the following donations back to the Malmsbury Community this year from funds raised via the 2026 Fayre.

$1500 - Malmsbury CFA- for thermal imaging cameras
$1000 - Malmsbury Primary School- for low-sensory room
$1500 - Malmsbury Town Hall- for sound/lighting upgrades
$500 - Malmsbury Historical Society- for special cupboards and display boards
$500 - Friends of the Malmsbury Gardens- for garden improvements

So a total of $5,000 back to the Malmsbury Community. Thank you to these groups for all that THEY do for us all.

And thank you again to all who came along and ensured we had a successful Fayre on the day - and beyond - so that we can hopefully continue to support our local community in this way in years to come!

At the AGM, we’ll also be able to determine what excess funds remain from staging the 2026 Fayre and how the committee will distribute those back to various groups in the local community.

2026 marked twenty-five years since the very first Malmsbury Village Fayre….and what an event it was!

We were blessed with another stunning Autumn day on Sunday 26 April, and thousands came from near and far to enjoy our beautiful village and support the many small businesses with stands at the Fayre and those in the village.

The event also supports many local musicians - who performed on the main stage all day - and entertainers, resulting in an amazing community and family day out. A special shout out to the Malmsbury Primary School, whose young musicians helped kick off the day with flair, and Simon Rogers, our MC extraordinaire!

New to the Fayre this year was a display to celebrate the 25 year milestone, a custom artwork by local community member Bruce Taylor and a Native Animal “Scavenger Hunt” for the kids. Returning fun for the kids were favourites like the bubble fairy, Historica Living Medieval Group, face painters, roving musicians and a Storyteller.

A huge THANK YOU to the many volunteers on the day, and to the hard-working volunteer committee, who put many months of effort in to enable this event for the community. The day would not be possible without you!

We’d also like to thank the Macedon Ranges Shire Council for their financial support and the Autumn Festival for their inclusion of the Fayre. Thank you also for contributions from Lisa Chesters (Federal Member for Bendigo), Mary-Anne Thomas (State Member for Macedon), plus in-kind support from local businesses The Malmsbury Hotel, Ruste Belle’s, Malmsbury Pharmacy, Rathdowne Antiques and The Malmsbury General Store.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to complet Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the 2026 Malmsbury Village Fayre Visitor Survey!

We had a little incentive to complete the online survey this year, giving away a $50 Fuel/Groceries Voucher to a random entry.

The lucky winner was drawn on May 10th and was notified via email.

Rebecca and family travelled from Bendigo to our beautiful village for the Fayre. She shared that their kids particularly loved the Native Animal Scavenger Hunt, which was a fun additional for the 2026 Fayre.

Congratulations Rebecca - and thank you for attending the 2026 Fayre!

A fun AND sustainable Fayre! 🌎 Our fantastic Sust A fun AND sustainable Fayre! 🌎

Our fantastic Sustainable Malmsbury group will collect and wash all the dishes, helping us work towards zero net emissions and saving up to 6000L of rubbish going to landfill. That is 25 large wheeley bins! You can help by placing your dirty dishes in the collection tubs.

Once again, the Fayre will use the Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group Wash Against Waste Trailer to avoid use of single use plates, bowls, cups, glasses and cutlery.

The Coliban Water portable drinking water stations will also be there, so BRING YOUR OWN water bottle or use the supplied cups to avoid single-use plastic bottles. (Our vendors will NOT be selling water.)

Council will supply their recycling stations to separate landfill (red), recycling (yellow), glass (purple) and food organics (green), so be sure to check out the signs and put your waste in the right bin.

We also encourage you to walk, ride or take the train if you can, or to car pool to minimise vehicle use and traffic (and save on fuel!). The Fayre is less than a 10 minute walk from the Malmsbury Train Station.

See you at the Fayre this Sunday 26 April 10am-4pm!
